SKELLIG MICHEAL: This Christian monastery from the 6th Century lies 12 km’s off the coast of County Kerry. On the island a 600 step walk leads to the monastic settlements oratories and beehive cells. Two amazing facts about Skellig Micheal are that since 1996,it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and also features in the Star Wars movie: The Force Awakens.

DERRYNANE HOUSE,BEACH AND NATIONAL PARK:Derrynane House is the ancestral home of famous Irish politician Daniel O’Connell,who is best known for Catholic Emancipation. Also called ‘The Liberator’, why not take a tour of the house or walk in the adjoining 320 acre Derrynane National Park or enjoy a stroll on the blue flag Derrynane beach. When the tide is low, people can walk to Abbey Island where the graves of Daniel O’Connell and his wife Mary are to be found.

STAIGUE FORT: An Irish Ring Fort built in the early 300/400AD and exhibits some of the finest stone building skill and craftsmanship of its time. It is found about 13 miles from Sneem and has a height of 18 feet and a diameter of 90 feet.

VALENTIA ISLAND: The island of Valentia is located off the South-West coast of County Kerry and is 11 km in length and 3km in width. There is so much to discover here such Tetrapod trackways, Bray Tower, the first transatlantic telegraph cable as well the villages of Chapeltown and Knightstown.
