Killarney Kayaking Activity – By Stephen

Kayaking in Killarney

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” (Mark Twain -Writer,1835-1910)

A fabulous Thursday afternoon in May with blue skies and sunshine in Killarney and Away I went on a kayaking adventure on the renowned Lakes of Killarney. Our group totaled four in number and equipped with kayaks, wetsuits, paddles and instruction ,we began our 90 minute kayak adventure on the waters.

Our base was near Ross Castle, a 15th Century fortress located on the edge of the Lakes of Killarney which cover about twenty-five percent of Killarney National Park. This is a truly mesmerising experience from cloudy blue skies to spectacular scenery, paddle yourself through history, time and landscape.

I recommend the kayaking adventure with Mór Active Tours on the lakes because this adventure experience is freedom, beauty and fascination all in one.
