GALLARUS ORATORY : an early Christian Church located 8km’s from Dingle town. It’s dry stone wall resemble an upturned boat shape and thought to be over 1,000 years old.
COUMEENOOLE BEACH : a beautiful beach on the Dingle Penninsula located 18 km’s from Dingle town. A remarkable fact about this beach is that filming for the movie” Ryan’s Daughter” took place here.
BLASKET CENTRE: This heritage and cultural centre is dedicated to the people of the Great Blasket Islands. This Irish speaking Island community have produced famous writers such as Peig Sayers, Tomas O’Criomhthain and Muiris O’Suilleabhain and ceased to be after 1953.So the island and people are remember through the centre with world class exhibitions, ‘Blasket Heritage’ film and much more.
DINGLE OCEANWORLD:located in Dingle town, the aquarium features an ocean tunnel, polar penguin experience and shark tank. You can also enjoy the Oceanworld café and gift shop.
DINGLE WHISKEY DISTILLERY:A fantastic Irish Whiskey distillery launched in 2012,featuring products such as Dingle Distillery Vodka, Dingle Original Gin and Dingle Whiskey. Why not tour the distillery, sample its gin/vodka and view the production phases of the various products.
DINGLE BREWING COMPANY :launched in the summer of 2011 and renowned for Tom Crean’s Irish Lager. Located on the outskirts of Dingle, daily tours can be had to see the whole production process and sample the lager itself.
KILMALKEDAR CHURCH: fascinating 12th Century Hiberno-Romanesque church located 8 km’s from Dingle town. This 10 acres ancient site has an Ogham stone, Sundial and Alphabet stone amongst many remnants of the past.
INCH BEACH: This has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. With 3 miles of sandy beach offering swimming,surfing,angling and walking, there is so much to be enjoyed here.An interesting fact about Inch Beach is that the 1962 movie ‘Playboy of the Western World was shot on the beach.
